    RANT- Skinny hunting pants

What is with these new male skinny hunting pants ala almost female looking leggings ?? You know the "new, must have hunting clothing" lines that have showed up. Almost an invisible back pocket and skin clinging material.
I guide a few deer/turkey hunts every year and guys look ridiculous in them IMO The other day I was actually on a guided hunt as the hunter and had to walk behind a guide wearing a pair I'm sure when I'm guiding clients they can appreciate the rear view of my old school Carhartt pants.

Over and Out ! It is the "off season" around here

I have to wear relaxed fit jeans. I don't know how people can stand wearing skinny jeans. Jeans that are too tight on my legs drive me up a wall. It feels like they're giving me a wedgie.

I don't look at men below the waist so I'm not sure.

I don't like that style in women's pants either. I prefer a boot cut that goes over the top of my shoes. I believe the straight leg or tapered cut is to make tucking in to your boot easier, so you don't end up trying to stuff a bunch of loose fabric in to your boots. They can also offer the pant in one length this way. For the hem of a boot cut pant to sit right on top the boot, you have to offer it in a couple of different inseams for short vs. tall people. If everyone is just tucking their pants in to their boots all pants can be the same length.

I rarely tuck the pant legs in and I hate it when the pant hem gets caught on the top of my lace up boots. It's getting really hard to find any boot cut outdoor pant.

Reminds me of one of the many pieces of fashion advice my mother gave me: "Just because you can wear it, doesn't mean you should."

I am baffled by the number of people who will sport a fashion that is not designed to compliment, or even follow, the human form!

Are you just tryin' to look ugly??

Spandex should come with an application process just like fire arms.

They are 1 size fits all! I’ve seen it at Thuh Walmarts but I disagree - they have their limitations also.

I don't know about hunting pants akin to leggings, but I do like well fitted or tapered pants. I'm 160, 6' 2". I don't want baggy pants. I think they feel worse than tight pants. I just recently got rid of nearly all my jeans and wear exclusively khul silencr rogue or prana stretch zion pants. Theyre tapered and are incredibly light and durable.

                    Hah!

Or, as my husband is fond of saying, "Spandex is not a right, it's a privilege."

There were warehouses full of Hammer pants left over. All they had to do was dye them camouflage. They still look stupid but if you are in front of a tree no one can tell.

Do they make JNCO hunting pants???
Seriously I’ve only worn boot cut pants since I became an adult until recently picking up some Wrangler tapered type “action pants” at Walmart. They are that golf pant type material they don’t fit around my boots but I usually tuck them in when wearing boots. They are super comfortable especially in summer and I can wear them with tennis shoes too. My new favorite pants for just wearing around:

it's weird to me that how another man looks in pants gets you so riled up
