School Me On Selling My Vehicals

I've always just traded them in. Mostly to not deal with tire kickers and really not knowing what paperwork to submit to get the thing out of my name.

Can you educate me on what to do to sell a vehical?

Craigslist. Easy terms. Half down and the rest now.
In God We Trust. All others pay cash.

Post it in the classifieds here. Whoever buys it can do a little coaching on the paperwork - it’s easy.

Done it a few time in the past few years. Trust your instincts on who you’re dealing with. Exchange of money should be at bank. Expect a few weeks to find right buyer. Lots of tire kickers and low ballers. Don’t take it personally. If you’re really looking to sell, consider that when negotiating. You sign title over, and sign application for Texas Title, I130, buyer takes to tax office and files. DMV has a website you file an online change of ownership to cover yourself. Pretty easy. GL

I’d do a bill of sale. Meet at sellers bank and have them get a cashiers check. If you have the title, sign it and provide it to them in exchange for the check. DMV website should have a vehicle transfer notification form to fill out so ownership is changed in their system.

I use a Tx 130u and a VTR24 forms. One is your bill of sale and the other lets the state know you have sold it so you do not get hit with any additional tolls.

Take the plates off before they leave with it. It’ll save you the headaches of toll and parking tickets. There is a form you can fill out online stating the vehicle is sold. Easier to take the plates.

I sold some of my motorcycles recently. I had better luck on facebook marketplace than I did on craigslist.

I've used both Autotrader and Cars.com with success. Then follow the grouse's advice on the paperwork needed.

I have 7 junkers I need gone. Some workers parked them along my sister’s yard recently. Like she needs to guard them from parts theft

Not hard, ad, bill of sale, sign title, cash, and take plates off.

Go online to the state website they will tell you what you need and have the forms to print out.

Call Carmax or Give Me The Vin first and see what they will give you.
