    Paper Tune - Rest maxed

I’m getting a nock right tear when paper tuning. I moved my rest as far left as it goes and It improved about 50% but still nock right tear. Where does my next adjustment need to be at ? At the cams? Yoke cable? Cable guard ?

67lbs 28” arrow 300 spine with 55gr half out and 150 gr BH so I’m thinking I’m spiked properly.

Bow? Type of release? Type of rest?

      Bow model?

Probably back to center and yoke tune.

Set it back to center. Swap top hats to move cams. Dealer should be able to do this

Would never guess but I took it into the shop. Things measured up pretty spot on but we adjusted a few things on the rest and D loop (suspected nock pinch) and improved the papertune to just barely nock right. The tech then tried it and shot a perfect bullet hole with his release. After playing with different field point weights and arrow spines without much change, Finally tried a different release (I was shooting a dual caliper wrist release) and tried a hook style wrist release. And wouldn’t you know it. Bullet holes. Never would I have thought it was the release. But apparently the dual calipers can open unevenly and cause some weird stuff to happen.

A bow tune is more than just center shot and nockpoint etc. Its your release, anchor, facial pressure, how hard you pull into the wall, grip. All of that affects tune, which is why a shop can't really tune your bow to you... they can get it close, sometimes it will line up, but no two humans shoot a bow the same way with exactly the same anatomy.

Now you can still have a bum release, but you can take two very similar releases one that swings to the left, and one that swings to the right, and they can potentially result in two different tunes. I actually have two releases that are mirrors except one is a tension release and one is a button. Same type of release gate, same anchor, etc... I can only tune to one of them.
