    Bowtech 23’ lineup

Experience Precision and Accuracy with Bowtech's High-Performance Compound Bows - Perfect for Hunting or Target Archery. Find Your Perfect Bow Today!

SX80 looks intriguing at my DL since it’ll max out the cam. Just hoping it doesn’t have that “Bowtech hump” out past 30 like they’ve had in the past.

I love their deadlock system but wasn’t impressed with the XL last year in comparison to my Traverse.

I wish their carbon Bow had a longer draw length. Kinda surprised at the weight for being carbon!

Saw them today. I'm a bowtech fan and I'll say the only one that intrigued me was the SX80 as well. Still not changing from my Solution, I absolutely love that bow.

Is it just me or does it look like they’ve gone slower AND heavier this year? I think they missed the entire point of having a carbon bow.

The weight on the carbon bow....? Why?

Why the 80lb draw weight and 20 fps slower? I’m not a rocket surgeon but draw weight doesn’t equate to more power. I think its speed and mass equals more energy so a 350 fps bow at a 70 draw weight has more power that an 80 draw weight at 330 fps

SS34 would be up my alley if I were in the market.

I think its just an 80lb SS34. But I could be wrong. IBO is still tested at 70lbs as to my understanding, but yeah, weird.

Their usual MO is to release a speed bow one year then release an SS (super smooth) version shortly after that.

The 80# will be launching a 50gr heavier arrow.

You are correct though. Sometimes a smooth 80# can is more comfortable than an aggressive 70#. However the 80# is slinging more mass.

IBO ratings are kinda dumb. It’s weight up to 80#, max draw length of bow and 5gr/lb of arrow. Often quoted at 70/30/350, but that is not IBO.

IBO IS measured @ 30” draw 70# and a 350gr arrow. It’s not dumb it’s a controlled standard to test against. A 60# will shoot a 300 gr arrow and hit same ibo speed. An 80# will shoot a 400 gr and hit same rating…. It’s a measurement standard that when manufacturing companies didn’t lie about everything was a good comparison. All components had a tolerance allowance or it couldn’t be advertised.

                  Now ALL claim xyz speed …… but it’s really 30.75” draw(that’s 7fps)… 72# (that’s 4 fps)…. And they still miss it by 8-14 fps. It’s criminal really

BowTech always got closer until last several years, then became no better. This year they actually got “close”
