    Suppressor baffles stuck

Just received silencer central banish 30.

Shot 100 rounds of .223 through it today.

I cannot get the baffles out.

Any suggestions other than buying their baffle removal tool?

    Thanks!

I've seen some different baffle removal tools from 40 to 50. Dakota makes a pretty good one.

If im telling you something you already know, disregard, but you have to separate the 2" section from the 7" section to remove the baffles. That being said, baffle removal tool really helps

I’m just wondering why you are trying to remove the baffles? I hope you don’t think you need to clean it.

I’m just going by what the directions from silencer central say.

Silencer central says to clean every 100-200 rounds. Put the baffles in an ultrasonic cleaner.

They say it prolongs the life of the suppressor.

Do you really think I don’t ever need to clean it?

            Thanks for all the replies!

Yeah Silencerco and other big names suggest never cleaning them or removing baffles.

Awesome! Thanks for the info. Guess the consensus is to not clean it!

This is all new to me. Thanks!

Don’t clean it until there is a noticeable weight difference from carbon build up… it takes a very long time but it’s doable.

Thousands and thousands of rounds on a gassy gun will do it though.

Center fire cans don’t need to be cleaned like rimfire unless you are shooting non jacketed lead bullets. Even at that rimfire are 500-1500 depending on company.

I’d think a lot less of that company after that.

I’ve got cans with thousands and thousands of rounds through them. Center fire cans don’t really need cleaned. Vast majority are sealed and not user serviceable. Rimfire and pistol cans can be cleaned.

As others have said, it definitely doesn’t NEED to be cleaned. However, now that you have identified that it’s difficult to get the baffles out, that issue will only continue to slowly get worse the more you shoot it. My 30cal can is sealed and not user serviceable, but I have dropped it in an ultrasonic cleaner a few times.

I’d still figure out out to remove them just so you get that figured out, clean it and be good to go.
