    Stock Show Season 2022-2023

    Thought I’d kickoff a thread for the livestock crowd. I’ve always enjoyed the past threads.
    Post up your livestock show pics, updates, victories and flyers.

    Talen is going into his Junior year with a newly remodeled barn, 2 steers, 2 heifers, 1 goat and a set of commercial heifers. It’ll definitely be another busy year!!!

    We’ll be making a run at the Tx State Fair, East Tx State Fair, Fort Worth, San Antonio, Houston and finishing up at our county fair the last week of March.
    We’ve hit a few jackpots up this summer and he has added some hardware to his trophy case.

    Looking forward to Shreveport with Angus heifers and San Antonio and Houston for sure. Possibly Fort Worth. With a few Jack Pots here and there.

        Love your barn!

        My almost 13 year old daughter has a county steer and a State Fair steer. My son will be 8 this week and this is his first year to show. He has a county steer and they both have a pen of 3 each commercial black baldy heifers for our county show.

            Looking good brother, that silver calf is a stud. Wish y'all the best this fall.

            We have 14 calves on feed right now and we've decided it's too hot to show this summer.

              This is my daughters first year showing, our county has a Jr. Exhibiter division and lets them show as young as 5. We hit a little showmanship clinic and jackpot in Kountze last month and are going to try to squeeze in a couple of more shows between now and county at the end of September.

                  We were at that show in Kountze too! Talen won a showmanship buckle with the silver steer pictured in my post.

                  I’ll be working the steer scales at check-in of y’all happen to be there.

                    That’s awesome AgHntr.

                    There’s one of my son from when his first arrived. New experience there so we’re kind of learning as we go, but he and the lamb are both getting a lot of compliments.

                      That one has been my radar, we have a fundraiser softball tournament the same day though. Haven't decided if we want to try to fit both in or not!

                          Good luck to all the kids! We ended my youngest daughter’s show career on a high note. I’m not going to lie I will miss it.

                            Garcia - thought that might be yall with JG Show Team. We've gotten a few from Jon over the years.

                            We have two in the barn. Red cross and a simi. Kids stacked up a few buckles over the summer. We have cautious, high hopes with these two.
