Directional Feeders (corn)

I've been running a Krivoman direction unit which is screwed to the bottom of a winch up drum feeder. I've had it several years and bought it used with no issues. It runs 9-10 month per year.
It does sling a lot of corn per second so keep the run time a little low. I love it for bow hunting as it concentrates the deer in the preferred shooting lane. Now I'll say I hunt in a low density area where I see 6-8 deer per sit during season on average with 10 or 12 being an occasional high. Sometime double that during the preseason. I add this to say that if you have hill country type numbers the broadcast area could become crowded.

I have run a few now. Here is my take:
Texas Hunter Products: It throws the best as far as distance and spreading the corn in a big area... it really slings it. If you have a high deer density this is by far the best. I haven't had any problems with mine, it is probably 7-8 years old. It is not built the sturdiest. If I was going to be moving the feeder a lot from lease to lease or something I would just baby it during transport. I've noticed some rust where the legs are mounted to the feeder and those areas getting weaker. I would say they could beef that part up some, but it's already pricey enough.
I have a Krivoman Directional I got recently. It is built like a tank. You do not have to baby that thing. Like Slick8 mentioned it probably isn't the best for a high-density deer area. It doesn't throw the corn as far or spread out as the THP directional. It is in a more concentrated area. With the majority being closer to the feeder.
I also tried a unit that mounts to pre-existing feeders. It was sold by Ultramatic feeders. This mounted easily and very secure. It just doesn't throw the corn far enough for the amount of deer we have. If you had a real low density deer area, like 3-5. This would probably be ok.
