    Scope rings suggestion?

First time buying a scope for an AR. I know nothing about scopes and rings so I’m reach out for suggestions on the rings (I’ve bought a scope).

One the way is a Leupold VX Freedom 350 Legend. What do do suggest for rings to attach it?

Buy a 1 piece mount designed for an AR. The Burris PEPR is a good inexpensive choice.

I'll second the Burris PEPR. Make sure you get the correct size for your scope tube.

x3 on the Burris. I have several on scopes that I switch around and they hold perfect zero every time. Recently I went el cheapo for QD ring mount on my air rifle and a buddies air rifle. Found these Lockoos mounts on Amazon for under $70. They work perfect on the PCP rifles. https://www.amazon.com/vdp/0ae5a0dcf...721a293c675bd9

If you have a flat top, look at the raised one pieces that gets you to the proper height. Aero precision makes one as well as many other companies, just depends on your budget.

Thanks for the input. I’m being coached to go steel vs aluminum - does it make a difference?

I think this depends on if you plan to beat up and don’t care about weight. Not sure if people are beating up against barricades all the time that warrants steel and where aluminum would maybe fail. I would go with aluminum for 99% of what people do with them these days .
