I had half of a wildebeest blackstrap that I was needing to cook and wanted something easy so I came up with this recipe! I made double what I normally would do I had leftovers for work. Re-heats great btw!
1 lb Wildebeest backstrap (you can use whatever meat you like)
1/2 stick of butter
4 large cloves garlic, minced
1 pkg mushrooms of choice, chopped ~ I used portobello
Salt & pepper
Worcestershire sauce
1. Melt 1/4 stick of butter in a cast iron pan
2. Brown meat on all sides and season with salt & pepper
3. When meat is cooked remove from pan and add the rest of the butter and mushrooms, cook until mushrooms start to soften slightly. Add garlic an cook for about a minute.
4. Add meat back to the pan and add a few dashes of Worcestershire to taste.
Serve over some smashed potatoes and enjoy!
