Rifle season doesn’t start this year until December 1. But guess you can hunt anytime if you don’t get caught

My place is a mile from KS border in NW OK. I leave Friday for 5 days there and the weather looks like CRAP. Hot the whole time I am there but I guess you have to go when you can. I should have more information after we pull cards on Friday and hunt a couple days.

I can only speak to Unit 11 and the Northern half of Labette county to Erie Ks in Neosho county. Along the Neosho River, and tributaries more specifically.

Good deer movement, and they are hammering the acorns. Several heavy antlered bucks taken early in the season. As soon as the acorns subside they'll start hitting the winter wheat sprouting in harvested soy bean fields. Wheat, in any field as far as that goes.
The three friends I talk with hunt private properties. I don't make the trip any longer.

              Best of luck to all.

My dates are set for Nov 12 to 18, should be right in the middle of the rut.

Just got back from a few days at my place in unit 12. Bucks are starting to chase, scrapes now showing on tree lines. That cold front plus week leading to full moon had them moving. Nothing over 140” seen, but headed back Nov 1 for couple weeks. 5 yr old plus bucks still mainly nocturnal, but that’ll change soon.

I hunt in Unit 11 in Franklin and Linn counties. Looking forward to some Trail Cam pics that are suppose to be forwarded to me.
Hope the acorns stick around a little longer. I have a GREAT Oak Flat that should be COVERED in acorns this year

I lived on State Line Rd near Cleveland, MO in Miami Counrty for 9 years. State Line road was a shooting gallery for poachers. So, I hunted on property near Bucyrus. Very fine Bucks over there. Labette County was my favorite.

I lived in Spring Hill, KS (Miami Co side) for about 6 yrs. Was able to get my Lifetime License when I was there. We miss living there a little, just don't miss it enough to move back. That area has grown a lot since we left.

Lots of Big ones killed last cold front, Scrapes and Rubs popping up. Should be a heck of a November

Movement was slow at our place last week. I didn't draw so just checked cams and helped around camp.
