    Christensen Reviews Wanted

Have a chance to pick up a Christensen Ridgeline in 300 Win Mag for a good price. Only has 25 rounds through it.

Over the years I've heard mixed reviews. The bad was almost always around fit and finish but that they always made it right and fixed the problem.

Has anyone had any recent first hand experience with them?

I have on in 280AI. Shoots great. Never had any complaints about fit or finish

Dads got a ridgeline in 7mm that he uses for everything. Only thing I can think of is get the bigger bolt knob, the factory one is awkwardly small.

I have a Ridgeline. Have had it over a year I'd say.
I hated the trigger, it was a TT, but I replaced it with another TT. That helped with the groups. It shoots great. I like it. Have shot a hand full of different ammo, maybe 6 or 7. Didn't like the 200 gr Hornady. It liked the rest.

That was one of the first things I noticed on the one I handled yesterday. Went to my local gun shop that carries them to put my hands on one and the bolt knob was the first thing that stuck out to me. Other than that I really liked the feel of it.

The one I am looking at purchasing is the Ridgeline in Burnt Bronze. They are asking $1800 for the gun and Leupold 20 moa base. My only conundrum is whether to go for it or just save a bit more and get APR to build me another rifle. I know the APR will cost me about twice that for what I would want. Decisions decisions!

              .

I went with the bronze myself. I put a different stock, trigger and added a box mag. Has a different look but it shoots great.

I have a Traverse in 300 Win Mag. It’s a great shooting gun with a nice fit and finish.

I fell into the 6.5 cm game with a Ridgeline a few months ago. I bought the Lipseys exclusive version and could not be happier. Has shot 7 different factory loads sub moa with a Leupold 6-18x (now has Trijicon) and shoots some loads in the .3 moa range. Pic is of Federal Good Medal Match 130 Berger. No complaints.

Great rifles for the money. I have one and know 2 friends that have them, all are good shooters. One friend killed a bull elk in New Mexico this afternoon with his at 450yrds.

I have one in 7mm08, shoots very well with a Leupold 3.5x10 on it. Rifle shoots both Barnes and Hornday ammo great.

GF killed a 155” mgt 10, weighed 240# and I shot a 174” 12 point, weighed 230# with it this past weekend both down immediately.

I have a Mesa in 6.5 PRC, it is the only rifle I own that remains 100% factory. No bedding, no new trigger nothing.

I’m used to modified or custom built rifles and this thing flat shoots and is easy to tote around.
