Nice ones bring a pretty penny.

I have my dad's 66 that he carried for years behind the seat of his truck. It's pretty well worn on the outside but it still goes bang every time the trigger is pulled. That old gun has knocked many a coon out of the top of a tree. My dad was a coon hunter and a fur dealer most of his life. Last of a breed I guess.

I hate seeing anything about the Nylon 66. A buddy on mines crack head brother stole mine back in high school and pawned it off. Awesome little gun and I miss the heck out of it.

My dad grew up back in the hills of Oklahoma where the coal mines shut down. His Nylon 66 kept food on the table.

Still have one. I will say…for a rifle that appears to be so cheaply made and out of a lot of plastic parts they are very reliable.

I have owned several Nylon 66 models and thought they were ok, but the Ruger 10/22 put the hurt on them. I still have one of the little Nylon models, it is a Nylon 11 bolt action 22lr.

Didn’t know they made the bolt action model. Learn something new everyday.
My grandpa has or had a black version of the 66

Funny, my current stainless synthetic Ruger10/22 pales in comparison in accuracy to my old Nylon 66 I had growing up. I would trade this Ruger I currently have for that Nylon 66 I used to have any day of the week and twice on Sunday’s.

I’m gonna find one, one day I just can’t pass up.
