Marlin 1895 LTD II 45-70 price?

I know these JM stamped Marlins have jumped in price recently but what should I expect to pay for one of these rifles in like new or very slightly used condition? The reason I ask is because there are 2 for sale on Gunbroker currently around ~$1500 with several days left in the auction. One has a buy it now price of 3k. Is this the market price or are they inflated like everything else?

Very limited production and pretty popular I wouldn’t doubt mint condition with box and paperwork will go for nearly 3k to the right collector

The Davidson Marlins are not your everyday JM stamped guns... They are limited production as mentioned above... They weren’t cheap when they first came out... I would think $1500 would be cheap for one of these guns... Good luck getting a mint one in the box for that price... That model 1001 were made... I have a stainless trapper Ltd 501 made... I don’t even see these things for sale...
