              Thanks for the thread Waterdog Time runs out on being the best of athletes in your era but being a fine man does not. I try not to say someone may be the best of this or that. If I said he was the best graduate of the University, then I wauld not be wrong by much, if at all. Absolutely one of Alabams’s finest citizens. RIP Bart.

              Bart Starr meant more to the game of football than arguably any other player in the history of the sport. But that is only a small part of his legacy.

                  Vividly recalling watching Mr. Starr beat the Cowboys on the QB sneak in the '67 'Ice Bowl'.

                      The only Cowboy game I've ever been to was against the Packers in 1966 I believe. They played in the Cotton Bowl.
