    Need some idea's...... squirrel.

I like messing around with different squirrel recipe's, but I need some more idea's. I've made squirrel and dumplins, fried squirrel, squirrel tamales and BBQ'd pulled squirrel samichs. What can I try next?

Beer can squirrel (like beer can chicken). Tie 3 of em together around a half empty open beer can and put em in the oven.

After seeing this on MeatEater, I've wanted to try. Haven't had the squirrels though.

Articles, videos, podcasts, recipes and more covering hunting, fishing, wild foods, conservation and everything in between.

That sounds pretty good. I may give squirrel pot pies a shot.

Very similar to squirrel and dumplings, but my favorite was always stewed.

I haven't had any squirrel in years!
If we were closer I'd volunteer to sample whatever you come up with!

My all time favorite is to roll the pieces in liberally seasoned flower and brown, put in a crock pot. Cover pieces with a mixture of golden mushroom soup and one more can of cream of whatever you like, plus 2 cans of milk. Mix those together in a bowl and dump over the squirrel pieces. Turn on the crock pot and leave. Makes a nice gravy for mashed potatoes or rice. Works good for rabbit, pheasant, quail etc as well. Add other seasoning to the mixture to add more flavor.
