Great hunt at our small pond in Garwood. Wasn't expecting this many birds, but we got it done!
3 buddies down the road on my other place got limits too.
It was funny how quiet the prairie got so quick yet we had birds.
Looks like good hunts scattered all over. From one end of TX to the other!

One more day, but it looks like we found a motherload of doves. Looks like it will be early rising again next week!!!

Looks like everyone had a great day! We had 15 hunters from Academy Sports and Outdoors and some outdoors writers from across the country here today. I think the total was 72 birds. They had a ball! Still loaded with teal, and the big ducks are showing, too.
Tomorrows hunt is just for the ranch staff. Birds will fall in heaps!

We finished super strong today. Still a lot of birds on this ranch. All had full straps. Winnie is ready to go home and rest up for big duck season! Enjoyed the ride!!

Well, Another one in the books & one less in my future.
It has been a Great run. Best season number wise in a couple of years. Sure missed the marsh this season though. No where I would rather spend time, but all along the coast I heard it was slow at best. Me,my Wife & Son had a Great last morning. Started out slow ,but picked up about 7:45. My wife needed2 more birds & 3 came . She doubled & I told her good shootin!! She said I had to do that, It was getting hot & I am ready to roll!! LOL!
I want to THANK Everyone for riding along these last couple of weeks. I hope everyone had a good early teal season & now jumping at the bit for the regular season. Gonna clean house & take care of some rat killin tomorrow & Tues be chasing doves. We found a good concentration of them on one of my places! No rest for the old & weary!! LOL!
