My good friend Dyrk from Montana came down to my place last week. He killed his first deer w his recurve. I have never seen him so excited. He is a very accomplished bow hunter. All he lacks for his Archery NA 29 is a grizzly bear. He considered taking this deer one of the highlights of his bow hunting career.

Yeah I'm liking the woods out of that bow real well. I have a set of pre-finished POC shafts I need to get built. May get some more Doug fir for the Africa trip though.

I was able to get a doe to stand still for three seconds on Sunday morning. She turned hard on the shot but not quite fast or far enough. I’m a little late posting but had a pretty good season with the longbow. The thunder chicken was taken the week of thanksgiving. The buck I gave a scar on the first week of December then finished him on 12/19/22. As you can see the shot was not ideal but gave him plenty of time and found him in his first bed 150 yards from the shot. Congrats to you all on a successful 2022. Happy New Year! I hope 2023 is just as good if not better.
