As hunting season draws closer, I've been trying to get much more realist hunting scenarios in my practice regiment. So we will try to do that with this week's challenge.
This week, the shots will be taken from a distance of 15 yards. Your target will be a four inch circle representing a deers heart. Must be your first shot of the day. If you hit, it will be 5 points. If you miss (or from where you stand you think you have missed), immediately take five steps back and shoot a second arrow. If you hit on that shot, you get 3 points. This is simulating a missed first shot and a follow up shot. Hence the reason you can't walk up and look for a line cutter. If on your first shot, you go check the target, you are not allowed a second shot for that day. If you shoot your second shot, your first arrow will not be counted as a score even if it did hit the target. Line cutters do count as a hit.
At the end of the week, the highest point total gets next call. Good luck!
