2020 San Angelo surrounding area season thread..

Green green in the hood except where the deer keep it stomped down.

Had a great weekend and sealed the deal on a gobbler. The birds were gobbling and responding to calls great this weekend. I shot a bird Friday at home and this one Saturday morning. I topped my feeders off and the big buck I passed on is confirmed to have made it through the season and he’s helping himself to the protein. Found a matching set of small sheds, they were about 10 feet apart.

Had a very productive weekend at the lease. Set up a couple gun blinds, filled some feeders found a nice matching pair of sheds, crawfish boil and one of our members killed 2 gobblers. I even found a dead buck we named “Diamond”. This was an old buck that I had been chasing for the last 5 years. Never could pattern him as he turned mostly nocturnal during season.

I thought about possibly bringing up the Idea of a crawfish boil at our lease. I keep having to work when all the fellas are at the lease though. (or the fishing has been way to good at Big Sam lol)
