    Butter Sauce (garlic, spice etc)

Need a good recipe for a butter sauce for steaks. Over the years have like the original Haffbraw butter sauce, Saltgrass, and others.

Any recommendations, need to cook the wife a nice dinner this week.

Chef Shamy Garlic butter at Cosco is really good, just melt it and pour it on. Great to sauté fish in also.

chimichurri would be my other option ; simple and goes great on skirt steak or fajitas

              1 cup fresh Italian parsley
              1 cup fresh cilantro
              1/3 cup olive oil
1/4 cup red wine vinegar (more acidic taste) or 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar (sweeter taste)
              2 garlic cloves, peeled
3/4 teaspoon dried crushed red pepper
              1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
              1/2 teaspoon salt

puree in food processor , refrigerate or serve over meat at room temperature

Huge fans of this, found it a couple of months back.

We have used it for a few other things as well. Good stuff

That looks DELICIOUS! I had a hanger steak in Wyoming with something like this on top and i've been wondering what it was. I will have to give this a try.

Compound butter is the way to go....

Soften butter, add anything you think is good, blue cheese, garlic, herbs, booze......

roll it up like a burrito in plastic wrap
let chill until it firms up
slice, remove plastic and use as needed.

Awesome! So glad I opened this thread. I bought a new cast iron skillet and I have been tearing up some sear'n bake steaks. It needs something more and this is it! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Use some of that unsalted paleo friendly butter and I don't even have to feel guilty about it.
