Standing tower blinds with a pole and hook

Went to the lease to stand some tower blinds. I used the pole and chain that was mentioned once before on here.


Hook up chain and insert the pole


Take up the slack with the truck


Start the stand up-(The pole keeps an upward pull on the blind)


Stand going up.


Stand set.

great idea. never seen that before. I'll have to store that one in the ole memory bank. I have one I built myself that I am convinced I could put in the direct path of Gustav, and it wouldn't even sway. Man that thing is heavy, but with a little woodwork every few years or so, my great great grandchildren should be able to hunt out of that thing! Thanks for sharing...

it appears as if this works like a champ. will this work in the opposite direction, keeping brakes on the truck to slow the backwards roll to take a stand down and move it?

we have never had a problem lifting stands this way, i gotta love my dads paint job,and omg it was hot that day
