    Weed ID

    I have some of this in my hay fields

    It does not appear to be sand spurs ashe tops never get hard or sticky

        Since I live in Colorado I thought I might be able to add something of value to this.... unfortunately I can not....This is not a type of weed I recognize.... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

              Looks like a royal pain and expensive to get rid of.

              Not many things rated for pasture use.

              I did find Outrider trying to locate now.. Bet it is expensive.

                  I use image in my yard for it Stan. I'm sure it would be expensive. I had a thread on this last year and someone mentioned another treatment they used in pastures. I found the post.

                      I made several calls.

                      The only thing rated for ag use is Outrider made by Monsanto

                      Only cost $306 for a 20 oz bottle.

                      The weed is not toxic.. it jsut limits the hay production on that area.

                      So off to the CO-OP Saturday AM.

                        Looks kinda like nutsedge. If you pick a stem and twist it between your fingers and it has a triangular or square stem then it probably is some type of sedge. "Sedges have edges"

                            Pastora, Cimmeron Plus, and a slew of others will take care of it. Cost per bottle is irrelevant. It is cost per acre that matters.
