for the golfers

made a golf ball picker upper.

used a piece of 2" pvc, a 2"pvc cap and a 2" > 1 1/2" rubber reducer.

cut the pvc pipe about 3' long. (didnt measure, just kinda eyeballed it!) stuck the pvc cap on one end. Didnt glue it, cuz if you do, you cant get the balls out. On the other end, I super glued the rubber reducer. (took the hose clamps off) Where the reducer necks down like a funnel, I cut that off. It still funnels down some. The hole is just a bit smaller than the golf ball. Now, I can push the rubber end of the picker upper down over a ball, the ball will go into the tube and wont come out. I have about $18 in materials in it and can make 4 picker uppers! I'll post some more pix tomorrow when I get home from work.

It'll hold 20 balls. When you get all the balls picked up, just pull the pvc cap off and dump out the balls!

here are some pix of my golf ball picker upper. you'll see i cut 4 small grooves in the cap. this aids in removal. without the grooves, when the pvc cap is twisted to remove, it creates friction and sticks to the pvc pipe. the grooves help eliminate that friction and may have expanded the cap a little. I dont know, but it is easier to remove!
