Ranches didn't sell when you were a kid? I figure that exactly where towns like McKinney, Frisco, Katy, Sugarland, The Woodlands, Georgetown, Boerne, Midlothian, Abilene... not to mention, Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin and San Antonio and their urban sprawl came from. Selling off ranches isn't really a new thing.
