Some of you are veterans of this war. Whatever anyone opinions are as to whether we should have been engaged, almost 60,000 of our young men died there. I think about them often as I had friends in the thick of things.

Thanks for sharing and thanks for all the men and women who sacrificed their lives for us. I will never forget watching the war on the evening news with my parents just hoping to get a glimpse of my cousins that were there. God blessed us with sending them home safely. I will never forget those that did not get to come home.

Conincidentally, Jocko's Podcast 315 gives a very interesting discussion on this topic. McNamara's folly. Draft dodgers. Johnson's Second Class Citizens.

It makes my stomach churn listening to what those two supposed leaders did. And the countless celebrities, stars, politicians and other prominent figures that dodged the draft.
