Safe to eat wounded deer

Had a doe come in and it's front leg was hanging ,really wish I new how to post a picture on here ,I couldn't tell how ,didn't look shot it looked like it was chopped almost off ,only about an inch of muscle and Hyde left holding an awfully smelly leg .kinda worried about an infection since the blood would be affected .looked ok but the larger liver looked normal the smaller liver was whiter than usual .any thoughts are appreciated,good luck and God bless yall

I would just look for any unusual discoloration or smell around that leg and trim all of that away and chunk it. Everything else should be safe.
