I have decade of destruction in my CD player now. I even bought my first american bulldog from Phil Anselmo (I didn't get to meet him though). The sire name or breed name whatever you call it was Anselmo's Throat Snatchers.

My brother toured with them MANY times. When I would go out with them here and there my brother always warned me. STAY away from Dime unless you want your liver to fall out before you get back home.

We had some good times.

Wow talk about old times! I used to see them play at The Ranch many years ago too. Even before Phil started singing. That place had completely different music one week to the next. That may have been why you could count on a fight in the parking lot nearly every weekend at closing time.

First time I saw them was at the Backroom off riverside in Austin. Man what a BAD ***** band. They would kick your but for an hour and a half live and make you want more and more. It was a sad say when Dime was shot. I always hoped they Cowboys From Hell would get back together for one last whooooopin. RIP Dime your missed everyday.
Thought about it this morning when Cemetary Gates came on thebonyard around 6:30 am. What a way to wake up.

Saw them when the played the summit with White Zombie back in 1996. One of the coolest parts of the show was a guy in a wheelchair crowd surfing. The band brought him up on stage let him help with some vocals and wheeel around the stage the rest of the show. That was an awesome gesture. White Zombie had a cool stage show but all Pantera had was their banner and stacks and stacks of amps but just dominated the show.

We saw them in San Antonio on the same tour the night after Phil OD on Mr Brown Stone. Still a great show and we had backstage passes to meet them and Zombie. I was in love with the Base Plyer from Zombie. Very cool time in my Life. killed many cells if you know what I mean. Keep it HEAVY!
