Rubber Roofing on Old Metal Roof??

We have an older portable building that’s getting a small face lift at deer camp.

    It has a few leaks.

What’s the easiest way to waterproof the existing roof without replacing?

    Roll on rubber roofing?

Hire a contractor to spray it with rubber roofing?

It is a 12’x24’ portable building.

Any help or tips are appreciated!

Been a painting contractor for 40 years, I would roll on some sort of rubber roofing material. First I would take a few tubes of silicone caulk and caulk in any seams, holes, or any place that water can get in then do two coats of the rubber roofing stuff. I would try and get white for the rubber roofing stuff. Should only take a few hours to caulk it in and the next day roll on two coats.

Not silly-cone......use NP1 construction sealant for seams and screw/nail holes.

          Nothing sticks to silly-cone.

If you have any nail holes you might want to put a roofing screw or sheet metal screw in hole before coating roof

I've rolled a few old buildings in Koolseal aluminum paint with fiber but this won't work for big holes. Need to seal them up first.

                      This, nothing better than NP1!
