    Polaris 900XP Troubleshoot

Our 2016 900XP Crew has been a great machine. Recently it has started acting up. Summary below.

    Always cold starts fine
Always runs great when running (no misses or sluggish feeling)
After getting warmed up, if you put it in park or let idle for awhile, it dies.
It will not start right back up most of the time
Sometimes you can get it to start after three or four tries.
Engine turning over seems slightly sluggish if it wont start.
If you let it sit for 30 minutes, it always starts right up no issues.
When it does restart, it's as if nothing was ever wrong.
If you continue using it, the cycle repeats but doesn't really get worse.

    Things we have tried:
We have replaced the entire fuel filter/pump assembly that drops in the tank.
We have replaced air filter and cleaned everything out.
It's not bad gas, because we have completely filled the tank since the issue initially started.

I would have put a lot of money on it being a weak fuel pump, but nothing has fixed the issue.

Wanted to see if anyone has experienced these same symptoms. Thanks.

My brother in law experienced the same thing with his. He carried it to the dealer and they replaced the fuel tank and assembly. We had replaced the assembly before, but they told him that the entire system has to be replaced. Not sure WHY, but when they replaced the tank and assembly it has ran fine since.

Since we are on the subject, I have a 900xp to and when I run more than 15-20mph in 2 wheel drive I get a lot of noise coming from the front drive shaft
I’m nit sure I’d this is normal or not I’ve read different things online
Any if you guys experience this?

Is there an idle air control valve like a car that may be gummed up?

Buddy of mine had the same issue. He sold it never knowing the problem. It was a PITA.
