    Merino wool long johns and I wear either fleece lined or flannel lined jeans almost every day during winter in Wyoming.
    She needs a good wind blocking layer as well, that is where the fleece lined jeans are great.

      Genuine Merino base layer for sure. Doesn't have to be the high dollar name brand. The sheep don't know the difference

        I have been looking at Smartwool becasue she loves their socks, but their baselayer bottoms don't have the best reviews.

        My girl loves her Columbia base layers, she bought them for snow skiing but uses them for hunting all the time. They have like a silver lining type fabric woven into the garment.
