I use it so I can search for posts that I have commented on in the search feature. Can find it for future reference.

But you still didn’t tell him HOW he could tag a thread. Maybe a sticky note ? I imagine the answer is it only works with tappa but I don’t know that ‘cause I don’t use it.

I take it to mean click on the “thread tools” just above the original post, and click subscribe...but I could be wrong

^^ this is what I thought he meant. The other way to do it is to just make a reply, so that it adds you to the subscription list. Then you will get notices when there is a new reply. If you don't want to get the notices anymore, you go to user tools -> user control panel -> subscriptions, then check the little box and at the bottom of the page right side, click actions -> delete subscriptions.

Which is what I am going to do now, since I just subscribed to this thread and have nothing more to contribute.
