So before I dive into it- No I did not shoot this in Austin, or off Westheimer! Yes, we are calling it Brucelynn Gendeer!
Had this "deer" on my radar to remove from the heard, had "him" aged at 3.5, and wasn't happy with rack development. Tagged as a buck in the field, got back to the house to process and much to our surprise he didn't have any undercarriage ! Upon closer inspection and during cleaning, had a coochie and milk glands behind the nipples.
My taxidermist has never seen one! Called Robertson County Game warden to make sure I used the right tag, sent him pics and facetimed with him, and he said in his 18 years he has never seen. Apparently it is super rare – maybe as rare as 1 in 100,000 does are antlered!
FYI, counts as a buck tag. Shot in Robertson County, east of Calvert. Thought I would share!
