Build me a mountain gun

I lucked into one of the Remington 700 ADL in 7mm Rem Mag at Walmart. Now I need y’all to give me some suggestions on what to do to it to be my gun to take Elk, mule deer, etc. hunting. What trigger, scope, stock, any thing else to do to it. Prefer things I can do myself. Just give me suggestions on what you would do.

I'd start by putting some Talley rings and a Leupold VX-31 3.5x10x40 on there and see how it shoots!

Trigger swap for a Timney, Jewell, or Triggertech of your liking. Next would be good glass, I'd search snipers hide as they have a ton of great deals on high quality used glass (I've got a VX6 3-18 firedot if that interests you). Then find a stock. Good luck!

If that is the only limitation I say ship that action off to a custom shop and bump that price up to 3000-3,500 and lets do this right! It wont be a ADL anymore.

Swaro Z5 glass, AG composite or Mcmillan CF stock, either a trigger tech special or a jewell trigger, barrel is up to you or shops recommendation.

If you want the rifle to be light for carrying then I would think you need the McMillian Edge stock, Talley rings and the SWFA Super Sniper ultra light 2-10x32 bdc scope.
