    Pulling pipe posts ???

So I am pulling or should say trying to pull some pipe fence posts out of the ground. They are not cemented in. I can lift the 80 up tractor half off the ground and they won’t budge. They will wiggle by hand. Anybody have a trick to loosen up post so they can be removed?

Looks like a good way to get whacked up side the head if the chain snaps

If they wiggle but won’t pull, then there’s a concert mushroom on the end; my guess.

Side dig and push over, then pull.

        My nickel.

X2. Or you can try wrapping a chain low and use a high lift Jack. But my money is on they got concrete below.

Nose your sxs up to it or something with a winch..get it to bite down low at the base and start coming in on it…pulled a few like this. You may have to reset the line to get another bite.

Dig down about 6", cut post, fill hole. Move to next post.

Had the same issue with some post the other day. Concrete mushroom was at the bottom holding it in tight!! Ended up cutting the post off about a foot below the ground and feeling in the whole with dirt. Just put the new post in around it.

The rim method works great, not with a tire on it though. A larger rim off of a Backhoe or big tractor will work perfect, half/hitch a chain to very bottom of post, 4x4 in low & tug.

I'd just push them over with the tractor. Then pull em up...

I want to re use them if possible so that is why I didn’t just push them over. Does it help to wet the ground around them? These are drill stem posts.

Also there are about 200 of them to pull. So I had hoped not to have to dig them up. May have to though

Not sure if you are using the front end loader or 3pt. You may have better luck using the 3pt.

                            Following.
We drove our line posts with no cement.
Curious why are you removing a good set fence posts
And I do understand wanting to save them.
                            Pipe is so expensive now.

Moving pens. I have to pull these and then re drive them where the new pens will be.
