    Hill Country Peeps

I saw this today and it blew me away. I've never seen this before. I thought it was feathers or plant fibers but when I reached down to pick it up I realized it was ice. What on earth causes it to freeze this way?

    May be frostweed.

The stalk of the plant secretes water frozen within it. ‘Frost flower’

That's pretty cool. First time I've ever seen that.

Jack Frost Weed…..it’s really cool how God gave them the ability to secrete their water to prevent freezing inside and killing it.

Interesting picture and subject so thought I would learn more. Typed in Search for “Jack Frost Weed” and results came back that Jack Frost is a potent hybrid marijuana strain made by crossing White Widow with Northern Lights #5. Known for engendering happiness and periods of giggling.

Can also refer to a plant’s ice crystals in the Texas Hill Country.
