If you shoot the doe, what’s the chance of the fawn making it?

We can't shoot her now. Doe days are over. Need to get her next year. Unfortunately she'll still be pregnant.
We found her fawn last year had froze to death and that was before Storm Uri

I saw two very young one's on the way to work yesterday. It took them a long ways to find a way thru a fence.

It happens. Not very often thankfully. That one is definitely still a baby.

I saw this one with spots in November, too. I didn't think to post pictures.

It does not happen often, but it does happen. About eight years ago, we had a new born fawn in mid to late October. The first time I saw it, I am sure was probably the day it was born, it was just learning to walk. That's the latest I have ever seen one born.

The fawns born that late will probably have their own fawns late as well.
