Default Cattle Brand

My uncle asked me if I could make him a cattle brand. I think I might start making more of them it was a fun little project

Turned out great. I had one made a few years ago.....it looks great but is sized for Dinosaurs. I'd hate to put that much burn on any critter!

If he's going to use it on cattle then you may have a problem with the corners and tight spots burning across the hide. If he is then you can grind little notches in it at the corners.

As my grandfather would ask, "Are you going to brand them or BBQ them?" Design looks good.

Just don't do the stinkin fire brands anymore

Let me know, I'll give you a little business

In high school I processed a lot of cattle and I hated those intricate brands! But it does look good!

I remember reading that brands we’re registered when I was a youth. Is that still a practice? Great work!

Interesting. I’ve been pondering a brand for me as well. My initials are MC. I was thinking MC4. Something like yours. I like.

This x 2. Your work looks great, but on an animal it's gonna be blotchy in those corners and joints.

That usually makes it worse, at least for me.
Also the reason all the old ranches have flowing brands, like the King ranch, Matador and 6666. None of those have sharp corners or joints.
I'm far from an expert though.

Did he have to wait two years for it? Or is it just my bbq pit?
