We’ve planted that bottomless sandbox stuff with standard,oats, wheat,rye and turnips. As long as it rains. Your good to go

We do the same as above and add in Austrian Winterpeas, Hairy Vetch, and Crimson clover. Excellent luck in deep sugar sand.
