Video Editing Software

I need to buy a new video editing software package and need advice about which one to consider. Help!

What are you currently using? What are you trying to accomplish with new software? What is your knowledge of software presently?

Hey 3 Blade i have the same questions so not trying to hijack your thread.
We are a small church and need to get back on public access they want completed DVD turned in so this is what I need.

A 30 minute production with intro, video clips audio back grounds ect. i need ease of use and drag and drop kinda building.

No real previous knowledge of software played with window movie maker thats about it.

Although I recently acquired Adobe Premier I have been using Pinnacle Studio for several years with good success. Fairly easy to learn and has more features than MS Movie Maker.
