Default Music for video question

I’ve got a question, did a search (video music) here and did not see it addressed.

Does including references to purchased licensed music included in recreational videos (those not for profit) enable posting that video without it being taken down or causing trouble on FB or Youtube? Kind of like referencing source papers in a paper? I’m sure y’all have dealt with this before but could not locate the discussion.

Or does all music have to be unlicensed or the licensing specifically purchased ? With all of the viral videos that include popular music I’m a little confused how this is handled.
