Thoughts about putting together a TBH youth fishing weekend

One of the things I miss most about selling Big Oak is that I don't get to put on the TBH youth hunt.
My new hobby is guiding Crappie fishing trips on Lake O' the Pines.

I am trying to think of how we could do something similar to the hunts for fishing.

For the folks that don't remember, we let folks post kids names then drew out 6 kids names for a free doe and hog hunt. Folks came from all over the state and we hunted, played games and ate very well. It was my favorite time of year.

There should be a way to gather up 6 or 8 boats and do something similar for fishing. I don't have the lodging for folks anymore but I have plenty of room for camping or travel trailers as well as folks could get a room at the Marina.

Buff - I am willing and would love to participate.

I know nothing about Lake of the Pines but have been known to put some crappie in my boat on an occasion.

I have everything needed to support a parent and a child. (Bass boat, safety equipment, fishing gear etc....).

I’d be willing to help cover lodging costs as well if needed.

If I can help in any way count me in.

What a great idea. If I weren't 6 hours away I would definitely be there. Each year GBRA has a Kid Fish in early June. For the last few years I have taken my boss' two oldest daughters and they have had a blast. This year I think his youngest may join us as well.

I probably know a guy that can catch a few crappie. They'll be staged up awesome in summertime!! That said there's nowhere over there I would spend the night since you sold your farm!!
