We have always used tposts driven in several feet diagonally across feeder legs, then use a exhaust muffler clamp. Never had one go over yet. I looked to use 2.5”, will handle tpost and most feeder legs.

I had issues with big hogs still bending legs on feeders after putting toast and barbwire. Switched to all season stand and fill 600lb and no more issues. Only thing I did was tie feeder to a tree so it wouldn't
        Be pushed around.

I replaced the light weight legs with 2" steel tubing, oil field surplus. Adds lots of weight to the legs. Where I'm at in the hill country, you can't get t-posts into the ground but 1/2 inch rebar usually will hammer in. I used muffler clamps to attach the rebar to the legs but I like the suggestion above of using hose clamps.

I have also hung feeders from trees with good luck but you can't always find a good tree where you want to set up.
