Had a bit of time to edit a few photos again.

Late afternoon on Africa’s river be very careful when walking around...

Chances are you might bump a hippo and this bull had attitude and the scars to proof he is a fighter...

European Roller is one of the many summer migrants we find in Southern Africa

Lappet faced Vulture is the biggest vulture in Africa

Giant Kingfisher

Red Crested Korhaan

Its not often you find truly wild ostriches but you do still find them in the big game reserves.
This male with his female did well to raise so many chicks

Beautiful pics as always. I would love to see Kruger on our trip, but I am afraid it is too far from where we are hunting in Ellisras. Any parks you would recommend closer?

Justin,

You could visit the Marekel or Pilansberg Parks thats almost halfway between Ellisras and Johannesburg.

Both parks have the Big 5.

Hope it helps

Beautiful pictures as always. Have you ever made it up to Ngorongoro crater? I want to make another trip to Africa and was wondering how it compared to Kruger/Sabi Sands.

I have zero experience with them. My first trip over will be this August. I guess if I am just throwing a guess at it I will guess 55".

Sabi Sands dont compare with the Greater Kruger National Park.

Ngororngoro you also cant compare as its in a totally different biome in central East Africa.

You are welcome to contact me directly to plan a safari in South Africa. If you have a bit of time we can start in the Pilansberg National Park in the North West Province and then from there drive east to Kruger and explore the diversity of the Kruger National Park

It difficult from a photo as we cant really see how deep the curls are.

My guesstamit is that its 53-54”.

I always judge very conservatively.

Very nice Grey Duiker ram.
They are very challenging subjects to take photos of as they rarely stand in the open or long enough for a photo...

The Bateleur
This is one of the short tailed eagles of Africa.
They only reach sexual maturity at around 9 years old.

Till then they are brown after they reach sexual maturity they become one of our most colorful birds of prey in the African skies

Ground hornbill,
The biggest hornbill species in Africa, its always fascinating to sit and look at how they patrol a stretch of ground looking for food.

When you say you're hunting with a canon to a bunch of Texas boys we think you're actually hunting with a cannon. In fact we have a member that whacks pigs with a blackpowder cannon.

Your pictures make me wish I was back in Africa! Great photos.
