It's a pretty big lake. 27 miles of river channel counting both rivers. And over 225 miles of shoreline. The very first bass tournament ever organized and held in Texas was on Whitney.

The fish are biting, and there's hogs to be kilt. Gotta go!

Buckshotless, per the weatherman you will need all that wood, colder than a well diggers ars. Just made some reservations for later in March at Kimball, hopefully get on some fish.

Noted Carlock. Maybe one day soon they'll learn to swim again.

It certainly ain't like it was this time for the last few years.

Looks like Granbury shut the water flow off yesterday for the present. That ain't gonna help the sandbass/crappie/striper fishing in the river any.

We need a week of warm weather. Got a new kayak that needs some crappie sandbass and catfish slime in it.

Anyone found the fish, whites/crappie? Going to be down later in the week and try to put some in the freezer, forecast looks like it will be wet.

I was down there today. Should be better later this week. 62 was the top water temp I ran into for the day. It was down to 56 both before and after that. 56-58 in most places. River is slightly dirty at Kimble. Fish weren't quite where I've caught them before. Only got 3 male sandies. I did find a large school of big cats sitting on the bottom. They were slightly scattered. Woulda had to drift fish them. But I didn't have any bait with me.

I didn't go up the Nolan. Didn't have enough time to. But did cover over 29 miles of water.

How bigga tank you need? And if your Troller needs repair, Borris Marine on Azle Av. in Ft. Worth can do it. I've had them rebuild a few over the years.

Rock Creek this afternoon. Water is crystal clear. They were only biting on rattle traps.

Think I'm gonna turn my focus to crappie. Water is to inconsistent to pattern the sandies. And the stripers are always moving.

Granbury just shut it's gates back down again today. They'll prob open them up some come Friday, again.

They just opened the gate back up sometime today. i checked this morning before I left, and it was still closed. I was on the river yesterday. Was a big waist of time.

I got to speak with Gary Snow for a little last night. Haven't seen him in sometime. Back in the mid 1990s maybe. Found out where he's working now. Still doing boat work. But no-longer racing.

Thanks. And no need to. I've got a recipe that'll knock your socks off. Been using it at Bownanza since Team Fish Head was first started back in 2008.
