Anyone experiences CP4 pump failures and did they change anything on 17' and newer models?

I hope this doesnít jinx me but I have a 2017 F250 still mainly stock, only changes have been tires. The truck has been great with one major exception, The Death Wobble. However, if the dealership would have been honest up front it probably wouldnít have been near as a big deal. New tires and itís gone. The truck is a pulling machine, and not sure about all the mentions of how easily they get stuck. Once I put on mud tires I donít have issues at all. Even pulling a 35í gooseneck trailer in the mud.

FORSCAN software allows you to change some of the stock settings through the obd2 connector under the dash.

I used FORSCAN. Its free and very easy to set up. First thing i did when I got my truck was disable the double horn honk and enable police mode so the truck cannot be put into gear without the key fob inside (so you can remote start your truck and someone cant drive off in it). Those are some of the many little things you can change.

You can find the spreadsheet for FORSCAN here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...ns1s/htmlview#

If you click the link and go to the setup instructions tab it will tell you everything you need to know to get started. If anyone finds it too intimidating, I dont mind meeting up and making FORSCAN changes in the houston/college station area. Can meet anywhere and takes about 20 min depending on how many changes you want to make.

Change the tires. Youíll spend a lot of money and time jacking around with the lies the dealership will tell you and in the end, itís tires. I have a please help me thread on here because I couldnít get a straight answer and I finally found an honest dealership who tried everything and intimately told me to change my tires. Did I mention you should get new tires?

$1800 in tires is a lot more money than free. It’s not costing me a penny, and I’ve got a loaner to drive in the meantime. After they’re done with it I’ll consider tires if it still hasn’t gone away yet.

I have also seen multiple instances where tires did nothing to correct the issue.

If your tires are factory tires why should you have to spend $1k plus for new tires? Make them replace them.

Easier said than done which is why the dealership will play dumb to the issue until itís too late.

Yeah thatís what I did. My truck was in and out of the shop 4 times changing a part here and there to make it seems like theyíre trying and Iím the end we all wouldíve been better off splitting the cost of new tires.

Does the XLT premium mean leather?
How much lower than the MSRP is the invoice?

All the options that come with the XLT premium are listed directly underneath the option. Leather does not come with it.

As was mentioned, Premium doesn't have leather, but it has a bunch, especially heated seats which isn't common in Ford non-leather trims.

In this case, invoice is about $51k. I also just received a Private Cash Offer from Ford, so my out-the-door may be a little less when the dust settles.

But you can go to NADA and build your own truck and it'll give you the invoice price.

My bet is track bar-been there and done that.It did fix the problem immediately, apparently there is a nationwide backorder and it is supposedly on its 3rd revision.

I have 3 Michelins I would give away for $50 dollars each for a TBH member or whatever that equates to in Natty Lights...

Oh by the way, when I put on a leveling kit I asked my guy about death wobble. He said he wull take care of it so there are no issues. Brandon is the owner of Reese's Truck Pieces in Burnet. Solid dude. Set up my last 2 trucks.

Thanks. I thought about adding the level kit where I could add the double steering stabilizer but I also pull gooseneck trailers and a gooseneck camper so I havenít felt like dealing with the setup.

Stabilizer wonít fix the issue, will be a bandaid. Your ball joints will be trashed and need to be replaced.
