Since my health deteriorated several years ago, this IS the way I hunt now.

Three different rigs were used for the various pics.
            Sony a7Riii/FE 100-400
            Sony RX10 IV
            Canon 7D2/Sigma 150-600 C (just sold these)
Sorry to hear about your health, prayers that you will heal. Iam getting up there in age and don’t hunt as much as used to. I’ve been thinking of doing it with a camera also. But I don’t believe I have the skills to produce pictures like that. How much of it is the camera, and how much of it it the guy behind the camera ?

              I'm doing fine thanks.

It takes both but at this point, I think I could get decent pics with a cheap rig due to experience. I currently have decent equipment and the experience grows, always. It takes getting started and learning all you can plus shooting a lot.

One of my favorite cartoons concerning photography.

I came across a Ferruginous hawk today too! He thwarted every attempt to get close enough, long enough to get a picture of him though. I was the yahoo walking up and down and driving all over HWY 180 between Lamesa and Snyder today if anyone passed by. Unfortunately, I don't think mine does him justice. They're a very pretty bird.
