Depends on how small is small game to you. Coons and such take blunts pretty well unless you ding him in the head. Judo points will have a similar result, but it will have a little more thump since it is metal. I shot a coon with a G5 small game head, and it ran off. It did penetrate, but not much. So, I guess it depends on what you are shooting. Rabbits and such judo will be fine and inexpensive. Coons and bigger, I would use a cheap broadhead.

I going to try these things. Not sure what they're called. The thread into wood and are threaded internally for feet on cabinets. They seem to hit pretty hard and they're dead nuts out to 50yds so far. Just waiting for some critters to show up.

I always use somethin with a cutting edge of some sort. Not always bheads but something like a g5 SGH or there are several other brands.
