Awesome hunt this evening. I was penned down and wasn’t able to update like I wanted.
Saw over 20 deer.
Had 3 young 8 points, a dink and 4 does under me at 1 time. I watched bucks make scrapes, make a fresh rub, lip curl, square off and snort wheeze at each other and bump does.
Even had the first 8 bed down for a bit.

Wind has changed out of the South so I’ll be in a different set tomorrow on the same property.

Thanks to everyone that is still following along.
I know today was slow for a while.
Hopefully it’ll be a little more entertaining tomorrow.

I’m in and settled.
I’m on 1 of our biggest properties this morning. It’s a full section with a big creek that runs from the North, to the South end.
Had a buck grunting and chasing a doe across the creek while I was setting up. Could have been a Dink or a Shooter. Was too dark to tell.
The only timber on this property is on the creek. Lots of CRP and some crops. Big Milo field to my North and Wheat to my East.
Our target buck on this property is a big wide 10 we call Yardstick. He is a brute and a pretty as they come.
I wish I had a little more wind. It’s pretty quiet in here this morning. But, I’ll definitely take the cooler weather.
Kade is at another property we have hunting a big 9 point we call Perch Hook. His right brow tine makes a hook at the very tip. He is a tall, long tines buck that is very frequent at that property.
Stay tuned and we’ll see what happens today.
