Weird morning for me. Had 8 or 10 deer feeding around on the hill early, including a hitlist buck. Right at shooting time a coyote trotted across the hill and put them all on full alert. He crouched down in some grass and I could see he was watching a fox. After a minute or two of watching he snuck up a little bit then straight Leroy Jenkins’d it across the hill. Does and young bucks scattered like quail and never came back. Older bucks hung around for a bit but were real skittish and never committed. They eventually eased off. Feels good to be back in the deer woods though!
Might have something to do with the fact that I hand corned an entire bag yesterday afternoon and all of it is gone this morning. My camera crapped out so I don't know if it was deer, hogs or cows that enjoyed the buffet all night. [emoji1787]
