Recommend an AR/SBR Light for the house

What are y’all using for home defense type setups?

Surefire? Streamlight? Amazon something? Others?

Going on a 7.5” 300 Black with a SiCo Chimera with a Sig dot

Researching shows the brightest might not be the best due to reflections up close

Arisaka, Surefire, Cloud Defensive or Modlight.

For the house where you don't need a lot of throw, a Surefire X300 mounted at 12 O'Clock is a simple and solid setup.

If you don't wanna break the bank the Streamlight ProTac HLX 1000 has a rifle mounted option, mine is 5 years old and running great. Have had several Surefires as well and for an indoor gun you can certainly get away with the 300 series offerings.

You don’t want mega lumens indoors. The plain old Streamlight TLR-1S is perfect.

Surefire has a weapon light for indoors. If you sweep across a highly reflective surface, like a mirror, the beam adjusts to keep you from blinding yourself. It’s called IntelliBeam. Might be something to check out for home defense.
